• Laminar air flow hood equipped with 3 HEPA H14 filters and an anti-vibration surface (marble top) dedicated to the precise weighing of powders under protected atmosphere: protection of products, handlers and environment
• Semi-micro balance with an accuracy of 0.01mg under 41g and 0.1mg under 120g
• Dedicated refrigerator, freezer and safety cupboards of products

Experiments performed by the laboratory

• Pre-clinical formulation of test substances before administration to rodents: suspension/solution of known and unknown products
• Preparation of test substances supplied by sponsor following SOP
• Stability studies of compounds in vehicle for administration
• Storage and management of tested compounds

Aim of these experiments in drug development

• To enhance drug bioavailability and absorption by the development of new solutions/suspensions compatible with administration to rodents involved in tolerance and antitumor activity studies
• To compare the activity of new formulations with actual galenic forms
• To guarantee the reproducibility of drug preparation for administration to rodents
